Principal, Treasury Technology Practice

We are seeking a Principal for our Corporate Treasury Technology Practice to work collaboratively with Fortune 1000 clients and talented colleagues on complex, high profile projects. Principals are members of our management team with high-potential career paths and dual responsibility for engagement execution and business development. This is a full-time role based in our Chicago office. The ability to travel is essential. This is not an IT role.
A challenging leadership role with broad range responsibilities:

Engagement Management – Lead day-to-day activities for multiple client engagements including planning and budgeting, managing risk, defining deliverable content, and leveraging staff. |

Business Development – Identify and build long-term business relationships with existing and new clients and key executives. Assess client’s business situation, challenges and gaps to formulate compelling proposals for business. Close new business. |
| • |
Client Management – Develop mutually beneficial working relationships with clients and support senior level clients in solving complex business problems. |
| • |
Staff Development – Mentor, coach and develop the skills of others. |
| • |
Practice Development – Provide thought leadership to Firm and Practice Area by developing methodologies, practice tools, markets and services. |
Requirements
Strong treasury knowledge base, broad technology perspective, proven project leadership and 10 – 15 years of overall relevant business experience:
| • |
Broad perspective on ways to effectively deploy, integrate and leverage technology in corporate treasury. Experience in evaluating, implementing, using or integrating technology components in corporate treasury, finance, cash management and financial supply chain. |
| • |
Substantial exposure to or experience in corporate treasury with Fortune 1000 corporations. A knowledge base in several of the following areas: global cash management, foreign exchange / hedging, financial risk management, debt and investment management, electronic payments, liquidity planning and forecasting, netting, shared services operations, bank relationship management, SWIFT connectivity, business process improvement, and treasury best practices. |

Project leadership experience of multi-person project teams. |
| • |
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field. |

Ability to write at publication quality level (professional journals, white papers, marketing collateral). |
